Tasks to be performed by the Holocaust Memorial Servant

The intern will greet patrons and assist them with research as much as possible, and he will also respond to requests for information. The intern will help organize logistic elements of various events including lectures, seminars, panels, exhibits, teacher workshops, speaking engagements, fundraisers, and a significant film festival.
The intern will help translate documents from various European languages into English.
Under the supervision of the Executive Director and the Director of Education, the intern will contact the German and Austrian consulates in the San Francisco Bay Area to arrange for cooperative programming and promote further involvement in the Center's activities. The intern may also work with the local Goethe Institute to promote similar endeavors.
Various archival tasks may be assigned including detailed cataloguing of oral histories and the Center's video and slide collections. The intern will create an accompanying guide to any cataloguing of this nature.
